Elevenses: Wallpaper & Cave Paintings
➳ The internet broke yesterday when it was announced that Gilmore Girls was getting a second life on Netflix. Okay, maybe the internet didn’t actually break, but we were certainly overjoyed by the news.
➳ I am constantly looking for a way to organize all of the television shows that I watch and Alice (one of our fellow Female Geek Bloggers) at The Geeky Burrow recently wrote a post that may just have the solution to my problem.
➳ New evidence suggests that Ancient Female Artists are responsible for most of the wonderful cave paintings that we see today. BTW, I am absolutely obsessed with Smithsonian Magazine!
➳ All of us at The Tipsy Verse have read Jennifer Lawrence’s recent letter about the pay gap, and we will all tell you that after reading only two sentences we were even more sure that Jennifer is our long lost best friend!
➳ ABC Family’s 13 Nights of Halloween started on Monday. Here is the lineup in case you haven’t set your DVR yet!
➳ I am absolutely obsessed with desktop backgrounds, so much so that I can’t function properly if I’m dissatisfied with my background. This leads me to spend a lot of time looking for fun, but not too distracting desktop wallpaper. According to Elle has saved me some trouble and compiled some great wallpaper resources. My current background is actually ‘Give It All You Got’!
➳ Zoey Deschanel named her baby girl something rather unique. I have to admit, I don’t hate it.
➳ There is a lot of anxiety at The Tipsy Verse, almost all of us have suffered from anxiety. I, myself, struggle with anxiety daily and find it therapeutic to read about how others are conquering their anxiety issues. I love Modern Mrs. Darcy’s post about “out there” methods that have actually helped.
➳ This girl is on a mission to be a real life Nymphadora Tonks and we fully support her decision! #PurpleHairDontCare
➳ Another one of our fellow Female Geek Bloggers, Barb at You Fancy Me Mad, wrote a post introducing the Baltimore Chapter of Geek Girl Brunch! As we are located in DFW we aren’t going to be attending Baltimore’s Geek Girl Brunch, but if you are in that area you should definitely check it out. I absolutely love going to Geek Girl Brunches here in Dallas!
➳ I’m almost 100% sure that you’ve probably already watch the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, but that isn’t going to stop me from sharing it here. I’ve already watched it ten times and plan to continue watching it on a regular basis until the film is released on December 18th.
