Elevenses: Renaissance Festivals & Adulting

Well, it’s been a hot hot minute since we’ve posted an Elevenses post. I’ve got an update post planned to fill everyone in on why the blog has been, umm, light on content, but for now I’ll just say that I’ve been BUSY! Anyway, I thought it would be fun to jump back in with a good old Elevenses post. So, without further ado, let’s venture into a land of renaissance festivals, adulting achievement stickers, and so much more!

The weather in Dallas has been disgusting, so naturally, I’ve been scrolling through food blogs looking for cookie recipes (because that makes perfect sense), and am now dying to try this Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe from The Girl Who Ate Everything.

DFW / North Texas folks, Scarborough Renaissance Festival is now open! I haven’t been since I was a kid, but I only have the fondest of memories.

A couple of weeks ago, Ashleigh and I met some great new friends at a MaxFun meet-up, and our meet-up group has turned into an unstoppable trivia team! If you want to learn more about our MaxFun obsession you can read here or listen here.

Even adults need a little sticker encouragement from time to time (especially those of us who just really haven’t grasped this whole adulting thing).

Can I get a necessary, from all the 90’s girl in da house!?!?

I’m not really sure how I found Room 334, but I absolutely adore Elana’s whimsical (and quite Nancy Drew-esque) style.

With all the excitement I’m feeling for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, I almost couldn’t handle it when JK Rowling unveiled the wand designs for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child:

I’m suffering from major book hangover after finishing the Winner’s Trilogy. Fortunately Book Riot has a list of 230+ YA books so I’m hoping at least one will work as a remedy.

Spring is here and Flour on My Face has a cocktail (or 25) for that!

Oh Happy Day is giving a whole new meaning to ‘Take a Chill Pill’, and also, I think I may really want a cookie.

This isn’t the whole performance but, it still cheers me up every time I watch it:

What are you geeking out about this week? Be it Renaissance Festivals, Clark Gregg, or cookie recipes, we want to know!
